Group, headquartered in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, made a decision
to enter the high-end hospitality business close to three decades ago.
Taking our inspiration from Boulevard Royal in the cit’ys elegant
financial heart, we chose“ Le Roya”l as the brand which not only
epitomises the high values expected by our discerning guests; but also
encapsulates the level of comfort and luxury that symbolises the ethos
that is“ Le Roya”l.
With its very high and uncompromising standards and thanks to the
dedication and commitment of its management and personnel, Le Royal
Luxembourg quickly received the accolade of being named as one of the
top fifty hotels in the world. This five-star standard of excellence and
comfort has been successfully replicated over the years and today – in
addition to Luxembourg – there are city and resort Le Royal hotels in
Tangier, Hammamet, Amman, and Beirut, with a total of 1,130 rooms and
suites. A further 510 rooms will be added with the opening of Le Royal
Sharm el Sheikh and Villa de France, twinned with Le Royal El Minzah,
Whilst the‘ Le Roya’l hotels are the Grou’ps foremost five-star owned
and managed luxury hotels, General Mediterranean also has a further
3,800 rooms in its inventory via controlling or important interests in
other hotels managed by third parties namely Hilton International,
Marriott, Mövenpick, Sonesta, Iberotel, Occidental and Residéal.
